a visual representation of Lisa staring into her blackness trying to understand it

Being black in this crazy world we live in. I have no form of expression my words, my screams, my cries, and my songs would have to do it.

Five years ago I lived in Nigeria oblivious to what it actually means to be a black woman because everyone else was black .

Now I live in Vancouver and it is a whole different ball game, I had to understand my growing body and my mind while inherently growing into blackness, dating interracially, going to a school where everybody looks different, Trying to feed their souls and mine at the same time. Poetry kept me sane and it Kept me Lisa and on this site, I will share some of my passion in form of poetry with the world
